General Information
This year the Fillmore Unified School District’s Summer Learning 2021 encompasses three separate programs for this application: Expanded Learning, Credit Recovery, and New School Orientation. Each of these three programs is unique and serves a need in our school community. All three programs will be in-person.
Expanded Learning
Fillmore Unified School District is offering a learning recovery program to all students. The focus will be to provide supplemental instruction, support for social and emotional well-being, and, meals and snacks to student groups who have faced adverse learning and social-emotional circumstances. There will be two sessions available and families may sign-up for one or both sessions.
Credit Recovery
Students who have received an “F” grade in a course are eligible to use credit recovery to replace the missing credits. Students will be able to retake a class if they received a D for college admission and/or A-G requirements.
New School Orientation
During the 2020-2021 school year, instruction was delivered through a Distance Learning Model, preventing students transitioning to new schools from experiencing an orientation. These students will have access to their new campuses through a New School Orientation. Students in Transitional Kindergarten, Kindergarten, 1st grade, 2nd grade, 6th grade, 7th grade, 9th grade, and 10th grade are invited to attend orientation during the week before the 2021-2022 school year begins.
Transportation will be provided to students who live outside Fillmore city limits and who live in Piru.
Snacks will be provided during the in-person school time.
